Vienna Woods with Heiligenkreuz monastery, convent Mayerling and spa town Baden

A summer vacation and hunting trip like the Habsburgs takes us to the Vienna Woods: first to the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz, then to Mayerling and finally to Baden near Vienna.

Neither is the inconspicuous Mayerling Hunting Lodge, which attracts visitors from all over the world with its mysterious story about the death of Crown Prince Rudolf.

The tranquil spa town of Baden (20 km south of Vienna) invites you to take a detour with its sulphurous springs, casino and racecourse.
